[If you happen by the beach you might notice something running along the sea shore - a large black dog, more specifically. Every now and then, the canine would stop, look around. . . and offer a little bark. . . Before continuing it's trek down the beach, occasionally nipping at whatever creatures got into it's path playfully.
This dog, however, was not really a dog at all. . . Nor was he feeling quite as cheerful as his playful actions may have implied. In fact, more than anything. . .He was feeling quite lost. This wasn't hardly Hogwarts, that much he knew. . . Nor did he know of any place quite like this in the vicinity of Hogwarts. . . The climate was tropical, after all.
Not quite understanding how he got here, who brought him here or even what manner of people resided here. . Sirius had therefore judged it best for him to remain in dog form. In fact, he'd likely just play off being a lost stray until he could get some idea of where he was and how to get back. He also hadn't failed to notice his wand was missing, which left him at a bit more of a disadvantage.
If this was someone's idea of a practical joke, even he was finding it unamusing.
It was after some time of running about aimlessly that he found himself in a place that seemed almost like a small town, various shops and what seemed to be apartment complexes appearing before him. He continued padding his way through town, black tail swishing back and forth uncertainly as he approached a fountain before curling up in front of it. He was getting tired of walking. . .and it appeared it was too late for much of anyone to be out and about - at least from what he could tell thus far.
For now, he decided that in front of the fountain was a good place to wait until perhaps others were about for him to get some further information.]

...You do realize I'll make your life hell later. You don't even have a wand.

You should know better than to mess with someone else's wand by now, Pads.

[There's a faint hint of cigarette smoke in the air. . .and the source of it becomes obvious after a few minutes. A well-dressed man in his 20's strolling towards you, a cigarette held loosely between his lips. He's going to eye you and the dog a moment, before speaking up.]
". . . I suppose you're new around here?"
[. . . There's a flaming feline staring at Sirius oddly, leaping down from the man's shoulder to come right up and investigate.]
no subject
Yes, I arrived a little while ago. Could you please explain about this place?
{He eyed the cat warily. First off, it was flaming and secondly...animals didn't get on too well with him. He kept his wand drawn by his side at his leg just in case.}

". . . This place? It's known as Kunpuu - an island ruled by mermaids. . .and with no way off of it. Basically you're stuck until. . I guess the mermaids just get bored of your presence."
[He took a drag of his cigarette.]
". . . It's not exactly a normal place, as it pulls people from all different times and dimensions."

{He runs a hand over his hair.}
Everything could be different.
{He glances at your suit.}
So you're....
{He doesn't want to use the term muggle...but he's not sure how else to say it.}
not a wizard?
no subject
". . .No, I'm not. . . and these mermaids may as well be goddesses for all the power they have over this island. They literally control every aspect of it."
no subject
I'm Remus Lupin, and this is Padfoot.
{He patted Sirius on his head and smiled up slightly at Gokudera.}
no subject
". . . Gokudera Hayato. And that would be Uri."

How does life work here? Do you have a government or....is there a loose coalition of worlds? I don't want us to cause problems on accident....
no subject
[He frowned a little at that.]
". . . Basically, I'd recommending just finding a job and getting an apartment. That's what most of us do."
no subject
Can you recommend anything for us, sir?
