[If you happen by the beach you might notice something running along the sea shore - a large black dog, more specifically. Every now and then, the canine would stop, look around. . . and offer a little bark. . . Before continuing it's trek down the beach, occasionally nipping at whatever creatures got into it's path playfully.
This dog, however, was not really a dog at all. . . Nor was he feeling quite as cheerful as his playful actions may have implied. In fact, more than anything. . .He was feeling quite lost. This wasn't hardly Hogwarts, that much he knew. . . Nor did he know of any place quite like this in the vicinity of Hogwarts. . . The climate was tropical, after all.
Not quite understanding how he got here, who brought him here or even what manner of people resided here. . Sirius had therefore judged it best for him to remain in dog form. In fact, he'd likely just play off being a lost stray until he could get some idea of where he was and how to get back. He also hadn't failed to notice his wand was missing, which left him at a bit more of a disadvantage.
If this was someone's idea of a practical joke, even he was finding it unamusing.
It was after some time of running about aimlessly that he found himself in a place that seemed almost like a small town, various shops and what seemed to be apartment complexes appearing before him. He continued padding his way through town, black tail swishing back and forth uncertainly as he approached a fountain before curling up in front of it. He was getting tired of walking. . .and it appeared it was too late for much of anyone to be out and about - at least from what he could tell thus far.
For now, he decided that in front of the fountain was a good place to wait until perhaps others were about for him to get some further information.]

Date: 2010-08-07 05:22 am (UTC)I have a ...rather nasty disease that....manifests itself for a few days each month. I would need time off then to keep anyone else from catching it.

{No pitchforks? Stunning spells? Whomping Willows? He's obviously baffled.}

[He looks directly at you now.]
". . .but just because I gave you permission to be off for those days, do not think you can abuse the time off.If I find out you've been bullshitting me. . . Well. I'll just leave it at the fact that you don't want to get on my bad side, alright?"

Date: 2010-08-07 06:02 am (UTC)Of course! I may even be able to get Si--a friend to fill in for me on those days.

Date: 2010-08-07 06:16 am (UTC)I'm hoping some of my friends show up, and if not I'm a relatively friendly guy, I'm sure I'll eventually find a friend that won't mind helping me out.
{He makes a note to stop ignoring Sirius since he made a mistake and nearly mentioned him.}

Date: 2010-08-07 06:21 am (UTC)" . . Right. Perhaps I should show you where the apartments are next? You'll probably be needing to get one. . .Of course, some people also have houses. . . That fountain you were at is where you can get things that you otherwise couldn't buy at one of the shops here. Personal effects and the like. By tossing money into it, you can wish for things from home or whatever. I also think they do some kind of currency conversion too, if you need that to get yourself started off."

Date: 2010-08-07 06:25 am (UTC)Is it a flat rate for things from home or does the importance of the thing require more money?
